 LifePrayer
Event at Southwark CathedralBetween 17 & 21 September the Cathedral hosted “LifePrayer”. In addition to the regular pattern of worship there were services and events focusing on Prayer and aspects of the Religious life plus "New Monasticism". The programme included: a "Drop in to meditate" day, special services including Compline and Contemplative worship, a Quiet afternoon, a meeting for clergy and readers and a workshop on the Rhythms of Life and Prayer. Sunday sermons focused on Religious Life, New Monasticism and Vocation.
During the five days a small community of ten Anglican monks and nuns, representing various Religious Orders, were in residence at the Cathedral. It was a wonderful opportunity for folk to meet them and discover more about prayer as well as both modern and traditional forms of monasticism.
