Interest & Action Groups

BERGEN & ROUEN ECUMENICAL LINKS
Maintaining and developing our links with the Lutheran Cathedral in Bergen and the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Rouen through visits, prayer and the regular exchange of information.

BOOK GROUPS
Groups meet at a variety of times to read and discuss a wide range of literature.

BOROUGH MARKET STALL
The Cathedral sets out its stall in the Borough Market several times a year, to talk to people about the Cathedral, what we believe and what we do.

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY
The team of people who lead our Crèche, Sunday Schools and YouthXpress teenage group.

FAIR TRADE STALL
Traidcraft goods are on sale after the 11.00am service each Sunday.

HEALING AND WHOLENESS SERVICE
One of the Cathedral’s monthly 6.30pm services planned and led by a team of clergy and lay people.

INTER FAITH LINKS
Developing links with communities from other faith traditions and helping to inform our own congregations.

JUSTICE & DEVELOPMENT
Keeping Cathedral congregations informed and helping them stay involved with the worldwide work of development agencies like Christian Aid and campaigns like Make Poverty History.

LIFE BEGINS @
A group for socially-active people for whom the newgroup@southwark (see below) is a little too young!

LOCAL ECUMENICAL LINKS
Maintaining and developing our relationship with the churches of other traditions in our area.

LOCAL SOCIAL ACTION
Expressing the Cathedral congregation’s concern for the local community through relationship and involvement with groups and agencies active in our parish and local community.

NEWCOMERS EVENINGS
Helping to welcome newcomers into the life of the Cathedral.

newgroup@southwark
An informal group of people in their 30s with their own programme of meetings and events.

SOUTHWARK FEMINIST THEOLOGY GROUP

Reading, prayer, worship and fellowship around women’s issues, meeting monthly.
