Members worldwide are united in prayer every day by the ‘Wave of Prayer’. Members pray for their fellow members in dioceses around the world. A calendar of the dioceses which are being prayed for each day can be found on the main Mothers’ Union website, www.themothersunion.org Midday Prayers At midday, members often stop to pray for their fellow members around the world. The following prayer can be used:
Jesus, Lord of life,
God of grace, enable your servants to
carry out
We pray for all our members. May God be
with Amen.
Faithful and loving God,
May we always see the world through Amen. *See the Wave of Prayer chart for provinces and Dioceses. Wave of Prayer weekEach diocese is assigned a few consecutive days of the year when they remember and pray for members in linked dioceses. In Southwark, we are linked with the Dioceses of Aba, Calabar, Niger Delta North and Uyo in Nigeria, Northern Territory in Australia and Butere in Kenya. We have a Provincial Link with the Diocese of Oxford. We also remember our Church diocesan links with Zimbabwe where there are many Mothers’ Union members (see Prayers for Links). Our Wave of Prayer days in 2008 are 11-15 August.
