Introduction to parish

St John’s is a warm, welcoming and mixed community. Supported
by an enthusiastic choir, our worship is structured, yet relaxed.
Our “Sunday Kidz” programme provides fun and learning for children; and teenagers enjoy challenging activities in the “Angels and Devils.” We sponsor Scouting and Guiding at all levels, with “Mothers Union” or the “Belles” for women and the “Friday Knights” for men. Our “Growth Groups” offer more intimate opportunities to grow in spirituality, confidence and fellowship. We reach out into the community through our own Primary School, as well as through “Shirley Neighbourhood Care” and other ecumenical work.
