The church dates from 1871 with a second stage of construction in 1900. The building in typical Victorian Gothic plan form, consists of a sanctuary, chancel, transepts, crossing, organ chamber, choir and clergy vestry, with nave, north & south aisles, south west and north west porches, and baptistry.
